Transforming lives through education
Oxford University Press is the world’s largest university press with the widest global presence, advancing knowledge and learning across Africa and the world. We produce educational material and support for basic education, TVET, higher education, and home learning in a variety of African languages, and we aim to make our content available to our customers in whichever format suits them best, whether print or digital. We welcome new ideas and fresh thinking and offer the opportunity for individuals and teams to make their mark. We believe in the transformative power of education to inspire progress and realize human potential.
We strongly believe that collaborative communities lead to successful communities. Our partnerships with teachers, lecturers, departments of education and the wider educational community provide strong foundations that enable children to thrive throughout their schooling career.
Making an impact through education is at the heart of everything we do. All our surplus income goes back into education, research and scholarship for South Africa, Africa and the world. In Southern Africa, our unique shareholding partnership with The Mandela Rhodes Foundation provides bursaries for tertiary study to current and future generations of young Africans from all over the continent.
