Minister of Higher Education

Hon David Mabumba,
Minister of General Education

Hon Mutotwe Kafwaya, Minister of
Transport & Communications

2020 is the 10th Anniversary of Innovation Africa and we are delighted that it is being hosted in Lusaka under the official patronage of the Government of Zambia. The joint patronage is confirmed by the Minister of Education, Hon David Mabumba; the Minister of Higher Education, Hon Dr Brian Mushimba and the Minister of Transport & Communications, Hon Mutotwe Kafwya. Their patronage comes under the full endorsement of the Office of the President and Smart Zambia.

Innovation Africa is firmly established as the continent’s number one high level ministerial forum where industry partners enjoy  pre-scheduled meetings and committed engagement with ministers and senior government officials from over 40 countries.

It is Africa’s ‘must go to’ event for education, innovation and ICT. Leading industry partners agree that Innovation Africa is the most productive and enjoyable experience of all regional events, which emphasises the quality of the audience and high-level status of the decision-making participants.

In 2020, the full force of the Government of Zambia, under Presidential endorsement, will be ensuring a record number of participating ministers from across the continent. As well as being co-hosted by Office of the President and the three ministries for education and communications, the leading education & ICT stakeholders from Zambia will play key roles in ensuring the delivery of this multi-layered landmark summit.

“On behalf of Canon, I would like to thank each one of you for giving us the opportunity to attend innovation Africa and thank you for the great organisation, the effort you did and how professional you are. I can even see the improvement in organizing this event from last year.
It’s always a pleasure working with you and seeing you all.”

Pre-Scheduled Ministerial Meetings

“Another great event. Super organised, great array of Ministers representing so many African nations.”
Helen Wroe – Sales Director, Stephen Austin and Sons

The centrepiece of Innovation Africa 2020 will be the pre-scheduled meetings for industry partners to book in advance their preferred ministries, countries and organisations; allowing for one-to-one high-level interaction necessary to do business in Africa.

AfricanBrains is working closely with the most senior officials in the Government of Zambia to maximize the ministerial attendance at Innovation Africa and fulfil our promise of delivering high-level pre-scheduled to participating partners and delegates. This 10th anniversary will be a celebration of the continent’s long-term investment in education and the advancement of ICTs in delivering greater equality and accessibility.

Within the main conference arena, over 60 meeting tables will be set up for ministries of education, ICT, higher education, science and technology, universities, multilateral agencies and consortium for private schools from across Africa. Industry partners obtain access to our online scheduling system allowing them to choose meetings, create their own agenda and specifically target key clients and partners prior to the start of the summit.

Over 250 ministers and government officials, from across Africa, will participate in the summit, regarding Innovation Africa as the essential event to attend to meet with their counterparts, industry leaders and solution providers.

“Innovation Africa was such a pleasure, a formidable team that arranged an awesome conference in Ghana. It was great to deal with such competent professionals that assisted with deliverables and making the conference an unforgettable experience for Adapt IT. From pre-event arrangements, conference set-up and deliverables, every aspect of the event was excellent. A 5-star rating for the Brains team!”
